Portia

History books have recounted the Renaissance through the lens of princes, merchants, and geniuses; they have ignored Portia. While their enlightenment was glorified, Portia's was never written about. Because Portia's enlightenment came not through art or science, but through "finding a husband." That was the role assigned to her as a woman. 400 years later, Portia steps onto the stage and reveals the untold face of the Renaissance, the truth behind the men who are often praised. After all, the Renaissance meant rebirth.

The play, in which a single female actress portrays multiple characters, promises an impressive stage experience thanks to Ece Özdikici's powerful and sincere performance.
