TheaterMiss Turkey, with Ali Cüneyt Kılcıoğlu's ironic language, presents a stage narrative that prompts reflection on female identity and societal impositions. Themes of betrayal and marginalization are addressed with a humorous yet detached approach, inviting the audience to become more aware. The play, in which a single female actress portrays multiple characters, promises an impressive stage experience thanks to Ece Özdikici's powerful and sincere performance.
TheaterHistory books have recounted the Renaissance through the lens of princes, merchants, and geniuses; they have ignored Portia. While their enlightenment was glorified, Portia's was never written about. Because Portia's enlightenment came not through art or science, but through "finding a husband." That was the role assigned to her as a woman. 400 years later, Portia steps onto the stage and reveals the untold face of the Renaissance, the truth behind the men who are often praised. After all, the Renaissance meant rebirth.

KonferansInspera Book Club comes together on Thursday, February 12 at 6.30 PM with Görme Biçimleri by John Berger. “The past is not something to live in. It is a set of conclusions we draw from as we act.” Özgenaz, coordinator of Inspera Art Academy and a recent addition to the Art Space team, has chosen to revisit this book with the reading group. Looking back at the same text from a different moment in time opens space to reflect on what has changed — both in ourselves and in the world — and invites new questions and fresh meanings to emerge together. If you’d like to join us for an evening of thoughtful conversation, shared reflections, and seeing anew, we’d love to have you. To register, simply send us a DM with your full name and email address.
